First and foremost .. educate the public! Shine a light on the shadow world. Focus on science. Awaken our outrage so people will take a more active interest in their own health and well-being. Use the media. 1. Take control of Big Pharma and the FDA. Eliminate the commercials. Change health services to be more 'integrative'. There is a white paper on this written by a doctor. Obama may already have it. I will be happy to provide it if you don't know what I'm talking about. This means seeking natural cures first, then, if necessary, consider a drug. Elevate holistic medicine in the public mind and in government to a respected science and find ways for holistic practitioners to be the first line of defense. I know this will take time. It will turn the medical community on it's head, but it must be done. Find ways for holistic and conventional medicine to work together as a new type of medical practice .. integrative medicine. Start with the medical schools. Have some studies done. If we can manage this, many of our health ills will fade away. Most of them are man-made, such as diabetes, cancer, arthritis, auto-immune diseases, altzheimers and heart-disease. This includes the dental profession .. get rid of the use of heavy metals in our mouths such as mercury and nickel. Assist people to pay for it as hardly anyone has insurance for this and it is very expensive. 2. Study the impact of heavy metals on the human body and make the results known publicly. Then, take steps to eliminate the causes. This will upset the industry as a whole, but it must be done. 3. Eliminate type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Educate the public about the danger of insulin resistance and how to avoid or overcome it. This requires the FDA change the food triangle with more focus on protein sources, whole vegetables, whole fruits and natural fats (including animal fat) and a whole lot less emphasis on grains. Promote grass-fed beef. Eliminate the use of high fructose as a sweetener in our food supply. That by itself might get rid of type 2 diabetes. Replace dangerous low-cal sweeteners such as sucralose and nutrasweet with natural ones like stevia and xylitol. 4. Require all construction of new homes to be 100% solar independent. Naturally, we need to work up to that. Maybe by the end of Obama's first term??
