A Call to Conscious Evolution:

Our Moment of Choice

Economic disparity, geopolitical tensions, climate change, educational inequities -- these mounting concerns are symptoms of a world that is out of balance. Together we can shift consciousness by co-creating a new way of being together.

The Call to Conscious Evolution was born following a gathering of global visionaries. It's a movement that fully supports that the future is not what happens to us, but rather what WE create.

Together, we can co-create a new narrative of conscious evolution by:

  • Building a global community and creating a culture of peace.
  • Restoring ecological balance to nourish all life, and mitigate the effects of climate change.
  • Engaging in social and political transformation by calling for a more conscious democracy.
  • Promoting health and healing by acknowledging the profound mind-body-spirit connection.
  • Supporting research and education that optimize human capacities.
  • Encouraging integrity in business and conscious media.

In this great time of uncertainty, join us in elevating consciousness to create a better world. One governed by meaning and purpose. Accept nothing less.

Every voice counts -- YOUR voice counts.

We must put our spiritual principles into active practice daily. Our thoughts, feelings, and deeds must be in harmony with the idea that we are our brothers keepers, as well as keepers of the Earth. It begins with heartful thinking that our happiness depends on others well being as much as our own.

In the process of evolution, we as the human race had enough time to be concentrated on the "me" identity in all aspects, but as the laws of the universe have revealed themselves, the meaning of anything is outside itslef. Therefore the meaning of "me" can only be found outside itself, in "we" like the meaning of "men" can only be found outside itself, in "women." and if we eliminate all "women", "men" will not have any meaning, or vice versa. Now that we have develope much too "me", the necessity has intervened to develop the concept of "WE" more fully by finding love in the other/another/all, not only to have a life but a meaningful life. "Me" is not the "Only" but only the "lonely" and empty while "We" is always full of others As a child I was taught that "Consciousness" is the pillow under my head asking me each night: "What good have you done to yourself today by doing an act of good to another?" And I feel that our president is the one who was in constant conversation with his pillow ever since he opened his eye into this world. The panel he chose to guide us in this time and space and his insight about change are the very corroboration of his dialogue with his pillow every night. We will make it for sure because we have put this great notion into motion. Love to all. Shaheen

Remember that everytime we are having a hard time in life, someone else usually has it worse off. Let us be the candle in the dark room for our fellow humans to see. Give someone a helping hand, or just listen when someone is in need of a shoulder to lean on. It is amazing what just holding someone's hand and listening to their concerns can do for all of us. And hugs are even better! ALL WE HAVE IS EACHOTHER!! And I thank God we do!! Realize that fear is the opposite of love. We all need to center out hearts and send out love several times a day. The more centered we become, the easier it is for others to do also. May we all become pro active instead of feeling victimized. And let us all pay our most sensitive attention to the children of these times. Take time to be with them, and really listen to what their questions and concerns are. Their innocense in priceless. We all need to chip in and offer our nurturing capabilities. They thirst for it, and we all have something unique to offer. Remember, they ARE our future! And always offer a child a smile. A smile is a universal language! Adults welcome them, too! Let us vow to not panic when things become chaotic. Maintaining repose helps to calm a large amount of people. The more calm we maintain, the more control we all have over our destiny. We all learn from one another. Let love be the most important lesson of all.

Change school curricula to include effective interpersonal communication, parent effectiveness training, and practical life skills for juniors and seniors. Teaching teens HOW to behave responsibly, and providing a safe, loving environment to learn leadership skills is key. I am a proud SPONSOR (not Sunday school teacher) for the Youth of Unity (Y.O.U.) in the Unity Church, which is all-denominational, and I can see the huge impact on these teens' lives as they learn how to take the reins of their lives at the SO critical time when their biology is maturing along with their hearts and minds.

I pledge to practice kindness daily. Let someone in front of me, drive someone home from the store, pick up litter, whatever I see in front of me that needs to be done.

It is imperative to be truthfull regarding the history of human exploitation...and how previous 'conquests' have affected our present state. The need for truth and reconciliation circles is more needed than ever - In a time of war, mothers are always under attack - as usually, they will fight the hardest for peace and understanding, yet they are the most exploited during the child rearing years. As the mother of a bi-racial child - half African - who has fought for equity and justice in the education process, I am quite discouraged....yet hopeful. ALL professor's children - whether they choose to acknowledge their child or not, should have access to University. Educators should be about teaching and facilitating, rather than exploiting talent. The Universities were begun in a classist fashion - and remain so..until all are able to access on an equal basis, we will not have peace...
