Cultivating a positive loving inner state of being is essential, but if we buffer ourselves with all kinds of feel good talk, without relating in some direct manner to the suffering of others we are missing a huge piece. The United States is bombing and killing people in Afghanistan. As long as our taxes, and the lives of our people, are interconnected to that- what possible peace in our hearts and minds can there genuinely be? love and best wishes, yes, yes, but please stand for peace. Please dissuade others from killing and harming.
