Hi, As a former US Permanent resident( my daughter is a US citizen) I am concerned that despite all the latest scientific evidence ( much less the harsh physical extreme realities so many of us are facing/living right now in climate etc!!) Governments & Politicians still are taking the 'expedient' approach!? My hope is that Barack Obama WILL be the instrument of great change- despite the unpopularity that will bring him in certain quarters...I also hold that hope for Kevin Rudd our own PM in Australia! Understand, that as a Single Mum, I am willing to undergo hardship in the short term to get this ball rolling!I think a lot of 'ordinary' people are- but big Business and others with more 'vested interests' will fight tooth & nail.. Basically, we are at a crossroads- DRASTIC action IS called for- Please, lets all work together for the sake of not just our children, but the entire planet and all the species that we are dooming, by our own short sighted (Neanderthal 'brain stem related!!) actions.
