I have been an Opera Singer for many years now I run an Opera Program for young singers -High School through College ages associated with Roosevelt University (CCPA) in Chicago. We Need to keep Music in our Lives every day! We need to educate our children in our schools to play instruments (violins, piano, harp) not just Marching Bands. If we educated our children correctly through Music they would learn about the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical styles not only what was happening in Music but through music they would be able to understand the Art, and politics of each eras. We need to promote more languages in our schools besides Spanish, we need Italian which has been virtually dropped -Ask Mrs. Cuomo about that! If we taught Latin than we could understand all the romance languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish) easily plus our medical society would have Doctors that would understand the REAL meaning of a diagnosis!!! I am trying to preserve an Art Form - Opera Help me and my distinguished colleagues to do this! Give me some funding...I can educate the World!
