THE EXPERIENTIAL APPROACH TO UNITY By Lee Temple Our human family is one of an unimaginably vast number of other sentient-being families in the incalculable reaches of our expanding universe, one of many universes. We all come from that one primordial explosion of Godís (Great Spiritís/Mindís/Sourceís/Essenceís) Light way back when. We and every other element in this immeasurable vastness are thus sacred embodiments from Godís original ëBig Bangí. Throughout our evolution, weíve tried to recognize and integrate the magnificence of this ënatural factí into the daily scramble of our complex lives, if and when we remember it at all. Recently, many human endeavors such as the United Nations, Gaia hypothesis, unified field theory, world wide web, geneticist Spencer Wellsí The Journey of Man, etc.óhave helped awaken such a unified vision and/or experience of reality in many diverse human arenas. The ultimate implication of all this effort is that our human family is finally and truly poised to embrace unity consciousness at a global level. This is happening not a moment too soon! Global destruction, caused by human-induced Global Warming, has grown in tandem with this collective movement toward global unification. Itís therefore time to take responsibility, clean up our collective act and move to save life on Earth from devastating climate change at the least or complete life extinction at the worst. To do this successfully, we must first acknowledge en masse that weíre facing a foe of our own making whose root cause is primarily the systemic, separative, egotistical consciousness dominating our planetóthe ìme firstî mindset. Yet this crisis du jour is just the latest in millennia of such separative, selfish behaviors, all necessary survival tactics in their time. Today however, if our actions continue to be motivated by these separative, ìme firstî tendencies, weíll soon find ourselves starring in ëAtlantis, the Sequelí. Our survival depends upon our progress toward an inclusive, unity-based style of being, thinking and acting. We now needóand haveóan opportunity for a trans-cultural awakening of the primal singular consciousness, a shift into the shared experience of the inherent unity of all things. This transformation has already started, but it must be embraced quickly and collectively if weíre going to make it. Scaling Self-Realizationís summit on our own (as individuals, communities or nations) is no longer sufficient. We must learn how to become the mountain, together. We must learn how to bring all parts of our collective cosmology alive and authentically into ourselves so that they live in balance and harmony within and without. This is certainly the cornerstone of true unity with all there is, and living in unity and cooperative, reverential coexistence are the prerequisites for evolving a lasting, effective solution to trans-cultural problems such as Global Warming. How can we make this extraordinary shift? Nothing in human history offers a precedent for attaining lasting change of such universal breadth and depth. Challenge number one has been rallying public opinion around the truth of the crisis, and we must honor Al Gore for successfully achieving this objective. We can now take another giant step: this is a moment when the instantaneous conscious realization of our inherent unity, the essence of our being, can become our living reality. Time will recognize this, the defining moment in human history, as our finest hour. Learning to live as one, we can accomplish unparalleled things. Individuals, communities, businesses and governments alike can live and act from a place of unconditional love and compassion; honoring, trusting and supporting each otherour fellow sentient and insentient beings. Many people are already deeply inspired to support the possibility for this quantum shift in human awareness and to move past the twin, fiery pillars of Denial and Despair into enlightened action. I stand with them. My forthcoming book, "The Inherent Unity of All Things," is my contribution to this miraculous moment in our global evolution. Come join me on an exciting journey of discovery as we follow the trail of vital unity clues: the evolutionary flow of physical forms and living species as theyíve come and gone in the universe's immense unfoldment through space and time. They thus offer the only truly collective approach to understanding the inherent unity of all things thatís rooted in everyone's shared experience today. Science and empiricism are also primary drivers because they can reveal and verify our fundamental unity just as successfully as theyíve dissected it, in ways everyone can understand. Weíll also integrate inspirations from some of the worldís most gifted artists, poets, musicians, photographers, civic leaders, activists, religious and philosophic minds. Theyíll help us embrace all major facets of human experience in a grand, celebratory family circle of some of our greatest Elders, our brightest lights. You, revered reader, are the center of this circle. As you read and receive these gifts, I fervently hope youíll begin your own visionary journey, filled with insights, and that it will reveal your ultimate union with All. We have to make this shift quickly if weíre to prevail. Our success thus depends extraordinarily upon the abilities of this next gifted and destined generation of our youth. While my approach is scientific, itís also extremely simple, in their honor. Kids, as the song goes, ìYouíve got the whole wide world in your hands.î Please donít drop it!
