As an expert in everyday spiritual wisdom and conscious living, Wendy Craig-Purcell is an author, speaker, radio host, spiritual leader, world peace activist, New Thought teacher and evolutionary guide.
At the age of 23, Craig-Purcell became one of the youngest ordained ministers, graduating from the Unity School of Christianity. Thirty years later, she is the Spiritual Leader, Founder and CEO of The Unity Center, a 1500-member community located in San Diego, California, with an outreach of over 4,000.
In her book, Ask Yourself This: Questions to Open the Heart, Expand the Mind and Awaken the Soul, Craig-Purcell helps readers discover often-overlooked aspects of their spiritual natures. We are living in extraordinary times – challenging but also ripe for opportunity. People are rethinking many aspects of their lives. The questions, stories and quotations peppered throughout Craig-Purcell’s book help readers focus on these aspects in order to live authentically and to realize their full potential. Published in 2009 by Unity House, this book leads readers on a path of self discovery and empowerment.
Craig-Purcell has been an active participant in the Association of Global New Thought (AGNT) for over 10 years and currently serves as its Vice President. She has participated in numerous AGNT events including the three AGNT-sponsored “Synthesis Dialogues,” with His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet, the “Awakened World” conferences, the Gandhi-King Peace Train and the Living Legends of Nonviolence Conference.
Craig-Purcell has served as President and Treasurer of the Southwest Unity Region, District President of the International New Thought Alliance, and Chairman of the Association of Unity Churches Church Growth Committee. Her service honors include the Gandhi Non-Violence Award from the Tariq Khamisa Foundation and induction into the Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers Hall of Fame.
