How Can We Be in Service to Conscious Evolution?

I've just arrived at a spiritual retreat center overlooking the Pacific Coast. For the next three days, 60 Evolutionary Leaders are meeting to explore how we can work together to create a more promising future. Albert Einstein told us, "We cannot solve problems with the same level of consciousness that created them." We cannot solve the "we" problems facing humanity from a "me" consciousness. For this reason, the methods for shifting awareness from separate, dis-integrated "me's" to interconnected, integrated "we's" must be at the very heart of our agenda. We know that, working together, we can accomplish much more than we can alone. We are facing one of the great questions of life on Earth: How to move from "me" to "we" in a way that respects our great diversity?

Please share your thoughts: What does it mean for you to be on a journey of "conscious evolution" in your daily life?

The journey to ever growing

The journey to ever growing consciousness brings many difficult and challenging questions, yet when we come to realize it is only through the strength of resistance that we experience through these challenges, that we are given an indication of how much growth there is ahead, and that embracing these challenges with an open and loving heart will help make our journey less painful and bring us closer to the authentic truth that is within all of us. I am sometimes overwhelmed with a feeling/presence of such love from this growing consciousness, that the potential view it presents of our future is truly inspiring. Love to you all, Kimo

My internal and external conscious journey

My journey has two paths that I'm traversing at the same time. Internally I'm trying to understand my purpose ("Why am I here?") and my passions, and seek ways to express them. Externally, I stay informed of what is happening on Mother Earth and look for ways that I can help correct the many challenges we're facing. I must admit to having days of despair! But eventually hope and energy returns. At this point in time, I'm staying open to the possibility of making a valuable contribution to society. Perhaps I'll find it in the projects that this organization is proposing.

Living more in alignment

An excellent question and one that I take to heart each day. "How can we be in service to conscious evolution?"

More and more frequently I witness a deepening divide between what people purport to experience "spiritually" and their actions. About 90% of the world's resources are used and exploited by 10% of the world's population. It rests on we, westerners, to make the connections between our daily actions and what others are experiencing on the other side of the world. We need to take personal responsibility. 2 billion people live on less than $2 per day. 1 billion live on less than $1 per day. Someone dies of starvation every 30 seconds and bad water every 20 seconds.

So what do I do? What does it LOOK LIKE practically to live a spiritual life, to live in alignment with conscious evolution. Besides being an "energy worker", so far, I have reduced my consumption significantly, I grow my own food (I do not grocery shop) and teach others to do the same, I do not buy slave labour clothing, eat slave labour food, or drink slave labour coffee etc. This is just the basics. I also volunteer my time to publish a magazine that works to close the divide between our words and our actions as a community. My partner and I live by example and are consistently raising the bar for ourselves, which, in turn, leads by example.

Here is an article I have written on this topic:

What does it mean to be on a journey of conscious evolution ?

Hi everyone, Just thought to add how I handle daily conscious evolution. For me it is about being conscious, being aware of my self and my energy in every moment of every day, noticing where my thoughts are at, knowing who is in charge of me, my mind, my heart, or a higher combination of both that acts like an observer ever watching where the human can go to, in particular the thoughts. Understanding that thoughts create reality and that out-of-balance thoughts create out-of-balance emotions. The moment I notice a change in energy (and here I refer to a drop in energy) I study exactly what it was that created this drop in energy - usually an interaction with someone else. Then I look to see whether I am holding stuff, or may have uncovered a block in myself that I did not know about. Sometimes I ask for anything that I need to deal with to show itself (bring it on). The goal of course is self-mastery and how can I be master of myself if there is something that I have not uncovered/do not know about myself - I want to find it before anyone else does. It's also about being aware of my heart and knowing that I am coming from a space of love and integrity at all times - the goal- to become immaculate. I understand that I am here on Earth only to serve the All to help raise global consciousness. Aren't we just so blessed and so lucky to be here right now at this time to play a part in this oh-so-exciting adventure in life.
Love and light to all
